BOOKINGS
An important part of your business is lining up bookings. You do NOT
need to have your kit to line up shows!! We have an excellent product
and an outstanding hostess benefits program - people will want to book
shows with you! The more shows you do within your incentive period, the
more beneficial it is for you.
Booking six shows right away and holding them within the first 4 –6
weeks of your incentive period is the best way to start. Whether your
later goal is to do one show a month of two a week, you will:

Your Kick-Off
Show and Your First Bookings

A successful kick-off show is one that helps
you build your business. The main reason for your kick-off show is to
introduce your new Usborne Books business to as MANY people as you can!
Make a BIG, no– make a HUGE list of everyone you can think of that has
children, buys for children, has grandchildren AND works with children!
Invite a variety of people from different “spheres” of your life.
You'll want to invite people at least twice - once with an invitation
and at least once by phone. It’s very important to not just send them an
invitation, but also CALL them or better yet, talk with them in person
and share your enthusiasm about the books and beginning your business.
Tell them how much their daughter “Bonnie" would love the horse books,
how much their "Johnny" would love the puzzle books - use their
children's names and interests.
Your friends and family will be excited for you and will probably want
to have a show right away. AND what a GREAT thing you have to offer them
if they host one of your first shows - DOUBLE FREE BOOKS!! (you can
offer your first 20 hostesses double free merchandise allowance during
your incentive period with min. sales plus one booking).
Don’t be afraid to ask someone to host a show; most people want their
friends to succeed and they’ll help you out.

Set a date
for your own show.
With UBAH
you can be the hostess and the consultant for your own shows as often as
you like, getting both the commission AND the hostess benefits (free &
discounted books). This is a great way to introduce your friends
to your new business and let them know they can earn free books too. At
the same time be asking others to have shows. You want to book
several shows for your first couple of weeks.
